The Lodge" in North Berwick, once the gardens of a historic estate, is now a meticulously restored 11-hectare public park featuring a variety of themed gardens and rare botanical collections. Highlights include an Edwardian rockery, a fernery with 22 types of ferns, an arid bed with semi-desert plants, and a sub-tropical bed with exotic species like bananas. Visitors can also explore a Japanese garden, a stumpery made from beach logs, and a carpet bed with annually changing themes, including a tribute to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution's 200th anniversary in 2024.
